Manufacturing the IB3 Bowel Leakage pads

I had the idea for IB3 sat on a port-a-loo at Download music festival in 2025.

It wasn’t that I was in denial of incontinence. Diapers and large pads help a lot of people. It was my mild incontinence/urgency didn’t require the same level of protection. I needed something to give me confidence.

So, with Download 2026 round the corner, it's pretty wild the level of complexity and financial investment it has required to get this right. A year on, manufacture is complete!

I’m extremely grateful to those of you who have pre-ordered and patiently waited for them — they are coming soon!!

I thought I’d use this opportunity to share a behind-the-scenes look from the manufacturer.

Our Mold Required:
Once our dimensions were determined, the mold was produced. This badboy of heavy steel weighing 20kg cost around £10,000.
